What these terms cover
These terms cover everything sold through this website: the Prague Group Photography Masterclass, 1-on-1 photo walks, photo shoots and gift vouchers. If we ever work together on something not bought here, that would be covered by its own separate agreement, not this page.

I’m not registered as a VAT payer, so every price below is final: there’s no VAT added on top. Prices are in EUR.

Booking and payment
You book and pay directly on this site. Card payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure payment page, and the calendar behind photo walks and shoots is run by Cal.com. I never see or store your card details myself.
The Group Photography Masterclass asks for a deposit at booking, with the balance due later. Photo walks and photo shoots are paid in full at booking. Exact amounts are in Services and prices above.
A booking becomes a contract between us once your payment has gone through and you receive the confirmation email, not before.
Cancellations, changes and refunds
Group Photography Masterclass. A 250 EUR non-refundable deposit reserves your place. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the workshop.
If you cancel 30 days or more before the workshop, the remaining balance will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the workshop are non-refundable.
The Group Photography Masterclass has a maximum of 6 participants and a minimum of 4. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, I reserve the right to cancel the workshop and will provide a full refund of all payments made.
Photo walks and photo shoots. Payment is made in full when you book.
Plans changed? No problem. You can reschedule your 1-on-1 session to another available date at any time, subject to availability.
If you need to cancel, you’ll receive a full refund when cancelling 15 days or more before your scheduled date. Cancellations made less than 15 days before the session are non-refundable, and rescheduling is no longer available.
The full detail, including the exact dates this works out to for the current workshop, is on the Booking Policy page. That page is the one to trust if wording here is ever unclear. How to cancel, and how a refund reaches you, is on Cancellations & Refunds.
Consumer rights and Czech law
These terms, and any booking made through this site, are governed by Czech law, specifically Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code.
Czech law normally gives consumers 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without a reason. That right doesn’t apply here: Section 1837(j) of the Civil Code excludes services provided at a specified date, which is what a dated workshop or a booked photo walk or shoot is. What actually governs whether you get your money back is the cancellation window above, not the 14-day right.
Gift vouchers
A gift voucher is bought for a chosen amount and arrives as a code. It can be spent on any 1-on-1 photo walk or photo shoot, or on a place on the Group Photography Masterclass, booked through this site, by whoever is holding it: the code can be passed on, and I don’t check who is using it.
A voucher is valid for 12 months from the day it was bought, and that date is printed on the card and in the email. Using it does not move that date. If it is worth more than the session it is spent on, the rest stays on the same code and can be used again until that date. If the session costs more, the difference is paid by card at checkout.
If a booking paid with a gift voucher is refunded, the voucher part goes back onto the same code, valid until the same date; any card part goes back to the card. Where a payment is non-refundable, that includes any part paid with a voucher. On the workshop, a voucher worth up to the deposit pays the deposit; a larger one pays the full price at booking.
If a voucher runs out of time unused, write to me anyway. I would rather honour it a month or two late than have someone lose what they paid for, and in practice I will.
Cancelling a voucher purchase. Unlike a booking, which is for a set date and therefore falls outside the statutory withdrawal right (§1837(j) of the Czech Civil Code), a voucher is not tied to a date. You can cancel the purchase within 14 days and get the full amount back, as long as the code has not been used yet. Email me at hello@fernandopedrosalgado.com with the code and I will refund it to the card it was paid with.
Out-of-court dispute resolution
If we can’t sort out a complaint directly, as a Czech or EU consumer you can bring it to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce) for free out-of-court resolution, at adr.coi.cz.
Photographs and image rights
On a photo walk or workshop, any photographs you take yourself are yours. On a photo shoot, the images I deliver to you afterwards are for your own personal use.
I sometimes photograph the group, or you, while we work together. If I’d ever like to use one of those photographs in my own portfolio or on social media, consent isn’t assumed by booking, I’ll ask you directly first. You’re always free to say no, and doing so will not affect your booking or experience in any way.
Liability and personal safety
Photo walks and workshops mostly happen outdoors on Prague’s streets, in public places I don’t control. You’re responsible for your own safety, your belongings and your equipment while we’re out together. I plan routes with care, but I can’t be liable for accidents, theft or loss that aren’t caused by my own negligence.
Privacy
How I handle your personal data, including anything you give me when you book, is covered separately on the Cookie & Privacy Policy page.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time, for example if prices, services or the cancellation policy change. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force on the day you book.
